When it comes to true New York-style delis, as a native New Yorker, it’s a little difficult for me to find a true deli, serving true deli fare. However, I do know of a few places where you can go and grab a great sandwich or salad. Take a look at our top choices of great deli-esque eateries in Miami Beach. If your favorite go-to places aren’t on the list, email deli-esque places in Miami Beach.
Epicure – Gourmet Market & Cafe
Epicure Market Miami Beach is a great little gem in South Beach, which has a second location in Sunny Isles Beach. Epicure – Gourmet Market & Café offers patron’s gourmet prepared foods from their hot counter, gourmet salad section, and deli counter. Along with the wonderful selections ranging from a daily changing menu, which offers things such as fresh baked salmon, Romano crusted chicken breast, peanut curry chicken salad, and green chick pea salad, Epicure has a wide variety of gourmet products to accompany these prepared meals such as crackers, breads, and condiments. Additionally, Epicure has great in-house bakery section, which offers everything from cakes and cookies to freshly baked breads and pastries. Epicure sure ranks high on our list for sure.
La Sandwicherie
La Sandwicherie has been serving up fresh and healthy sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and fresh juices in South Beach since 1988; and, fortunately for us, it’s located right around the corner from our offices. This little spot offers the best of French savoir-faire in an unpretentious location. La Sandwicherie offers high quality ingredients such as freshly baked baguettes and croissants, house made vinaigrette, and fresh, crisp veggie toppings. There’s nothing like a quick and tasty meal at the no-frills counter at La Sandwicherie, after a long day at the beach or a night out on the town. Just so you know, this place is so good, that they had to open up a location on 8th Street in Brickell!
Roasters ‘N Toasters
Roasters ‘N Toasters is quite similar to the typical NYC deli that provides heaping servings of classic Jewish soul food for breakfast and lunch. The food at Roasters ‘N Toasters comes in huge portions, so don’t be surprised if you can’t eat it all. Ordering half portions or sharing with someone is often times recommended. This place serves great matzo ball soup, wraps, bagels, coffee, and an array of pastries and breads, such as Challah bread and rugelach. Miamians really love their NYC-style delis, and Roasters ‘N Toasters is here to please them with a total of five locations, but of course, the Miami Beach location is our favorite.
